Hey NG fam.

I hate to do this, but I don't know what to do right now. I'm hurting financially and it's taking a toll on me and my family. My wife recently had surgery and is out of work for a few months and we used up a lot of our savings to pay for it. That leaves us with one income and my day job does not pay enough to cover us. I'm stressing the fuck out because of this.

I know we all have our bills to pay and mouths to feed, but if you're willing to help me out, I would GREATLY appreciate it. If you choose not to, i wholeheartedly understand and wouldn't blame you. If you'd like to donate though, I could record a message for you in a character voice of your choosing as a means to thank you for helping me out. Just let me know in your message. I HATE doing this stuff (asking for help like this to strangers), but I'm in need of some help.

I set up a Ko-fi page if you're inclined to help me out. Love you NG fam, your love and support for me has ALWAYS meant the most.

Holy hell Newgrounds fam...I just reaches an awesome milestone on this AMAZING site! My voice has officially been featured in 100 animations! The newest toon by my homie @Cheetoh (The NFT Support Group) propelled me to this achievement! Thank you for bringing me on to help voice in your awesome toons buddy!

To all of the animators on NG that have allowed me to voice in your toons, I truly appreciate you. Your belief and support in me and my voice acting ability means the world to me. You guys allow me to live out my dream, and for that, I'm forever grateful! Here's to many more toons and funny voices from an idiot like me! :D Love you Newgrounds!

What's good Newgrounds!

Lot's of good things happening recently and I want to fill you guys in on whats been going on!

First off, I want to talk about the Newgrounds Voice Acting Collaboration. We wrapped up the '21 Collab with Part 2 on Nov. 30th and I'm so happy that y'all have enjoyed listening to the 15 new audio skits we produced. We had a blast putting it together and we're already working on Part 1 of the '22 Collab! We brought on a decent amount of new VA's, and writers, and I'm EXCITED to see what they bring to the table! Part 1 should release on May 30th, so stay tuned!

Second, December marked my one year anniversary working on the Newgrounds Podcast. This show changed my career and allowed me to connect further with the community. I have to thank @PsychoGoldfish, @Xinxinix, @Will and @GoodL for bringing me on and giving me this AWESOME opportunity. This show has grown, and transformed, into something greater then what it started as and I'm grateful to be part of that. We're now a platform for Newgrounds creators and we give them a chance to shine and show off what they do, warms my heart. We're looking to continue growing and making NGP the best podcast it can be throughout 2022.

Third, the new year started off with a BANG. My dude @Dungeonation finally put a bow on his KILLER remake of Pico vs. Bear. For nearly a year, Dungeon and his team worked hard to bring this remake to life and the fact it's out now makes me so happy. I was at the right place, at the right time, and Dungeon presented me the chance to voice Pico. Out of all the roles I've portrayed in my career, this one meant the most. Bringing Pico to life and providing a voice for him was a dream come true for this 90's kid. When I first checked out Newgrounds in 2002, I played ALL of the Pico games. Now, 20 fucking years later (fucking crying emoji) I got the chance to voice the orange hair dude in a game. Life comes full circle am I right? The overwhelming support and praise this game has earned makes me proud to be a part of it. Also, the fact that you guys love my take on Pico's voice made me tear up, no lie. It reassured me that I did Pico justice and brought that energy/style that we all know and love about him. What's even more cool is seeing you guys proclaim that I should be the official voice. We'll let Tom make that call, but I love you guys for that. On top of all that, Pico vs. Bear DX allowed me to work with @Luis as well which was DOPE! Luis needed a simple line from me for his toon 'Boxing Day 2021,' and I over delivered, because I'm an over achiever, and he really appreciated it. I'm hoping that this encourages Luis to hire me again if the opportunity arises. Here's to potentially more opportunities to voice Pico in the future as well!

Fourth, I'm sure you guys attended the Newgrounds Winter Fest this past weekend, but if you didn't, you missed out! This fest was just as awesome as Summer Fest and I hosted a panel this time around! My panel was titled 'Beginner's Guide to Voice Acting' and I rambled off as much info as I possibly could within the hour and 15 minutes I was allocated. The turnout was great, a lot of questions were asked and a lot of you claimed my panel was really helpful. Thank you guys for watching, it truly means a lot to me, and if you have any questions pertaining to voice acting, hit me up and I'll do my best to answer it as best as I can! There was a ton of info I didn't cover though, so I kinda want to hold an event with @Stanpai in the Fest server so we can cover EVERYTHING I missed! Whatcha think Stan? I'm very passionate about helping other VAs live out their dream, so I want to help in any way possible, especially when it comes to delving out tips and advice! If you missed all three days, you can catch the replays on the Fest's YouTube channel! If you want to check out my panel, I hosted mine on Day 1. Thank you again Stan and @LilSpook for letting me host a panel!

Fifth, I'm nearing a goal that I set out for myself in 2022. That goal is acquiring representation, an agent, and that accomplishment is in reach early into the new year! I was fortunate to sit down with an agent, via Zoom, and we talked about voice acting, my career/journey and what I hope to accomplish from it. I must have really impressed her because she's taken it upon herself to find me an agent. Unfortunately, she reps on screen talent only, but she's a voice actor as well and knows a lot of people within the industry. She's put a voice package together for me that includes my demo, some of my work on Newgrounds and various other projects and is shipping it out to agencies. This is huge because word of mouth from a repuatble person goes A LONG WAY in the industry. So please pray for me, cross your fingers and anything that you can to make sure this happens. This will be HUGE for me and my career and will open the door to a lot of opportunities! I'll keep you posted if anything comes up!

Lastly, over the weekend, I surpassed another milestone on Newgrounds, 1,700 fans. You guys continue to blow my mind and leave me flabbergasted with the love and support you show me and my career. It seems like yesterday when I was excited about surpassing 100 fans and now I'm getting closer and closer to 2,000. What's even more surprising is the growth over the last year or so. I think around this time last year, I posted about hitting the 300 fan milestone. So nearly in a years time, almost 1,500 new people chose to support me and my voice acting career. You guys are truly the best. I said this is my panel, but I wouldn't be where I am today without Newgrounds. This site, and you guys, have supported me every step of the way of my journey and I can't thank you enough. Newgrounds helped me land my first gig ever and I'll always remember that. No matter where I go in this journey, I'll ALWAYS be repping Newgrounds and this community. Thank you so much for helping me achieve this milestone and I can't wait to entertain you guys further!

Much loves as always to those I mentioned above and to @NickSenny, @JoshDytonVO, @LuckyDee, @Fro, @SailorSilverStar, @Dannygoodshirt, @scottwjsm, @bro-son, @zaazng, @misterjames and all the countless others who push me to be the best that I can be as a voice actor.

OH! And thank you @TomFulp as always for keeping this amazing site running for all. I always be in your debt :)

Hello Newgrounds!

As you can see from the front page banner art, Part 2 of the '21 NGVAC is FINALLY out! Over a span of six months, we wrote and produced 15 new audio skits for your entertainment! More so, combined with Part 1, we produced a total of 30 audio skits in 2021. I'm incredibly proud of this crew and the accomplishment they've earned! It truly is a feat being able to compile this many skits in an entire year! Go and give Part 2 a listen if you haven't yet!

NGVAC 2021, Part 2

We tried this new approach for 2021, breaking up the collab in two parts, and I feel it has been a true success for our team. Instead of having to deal with a bundle of skits for an entire year, break it up into parts, divert certain skits to each part, and go from there! Part 1 was a great successor to the OG and Part 2 is off to a great start! I think we've nailed our format for years to come!

We try to push ourselves to new limits with each rendition and Part 2 was no exception. We incorporated three new genres for skits in Part 2. We saw our first anime skit, an opera skit and even a skit that focused primarily on being told through an answering machine. So far, those skits are receiving great praise! I love seeing new ideas go off without a hitch!

This crew has been absolutely incredible since Day 1 of production, on both Parts! I've received help like no other from some key people, those being @NickSenny, @JoshDytonVO and @LuckyDee. They helped me manage throughout 2021 and kept this thing afloat. Nick basically ran Part 1 and his efforts literally raised the collab to new expectations! As he stepped back a bit for Part 2, Lucky stepped up to help us manage the day to day necessities of the collab. Even though life kept throwing curveball after curveball to Josh, he still managed to help with production and voiced in numerous skits, proving he's a master of multitasking. You guys are awesome and I'm so thankful that you guys have been by my side for '21!

To my entire crew, new and veteran, you guys stepped it up TREMENDOUSLY this year. Writing was phenomenal, composositions were great and the acting was top notch. I'm so blessed to have a team of such talent! Following up on that, to the new actors who came aboard this year, you guys shined the brightest! I was truly blown away with your skills, deliveries and overall performances! Use this as a platform to grow further! Those who come to mind are @chitstain, @sailorsilverstar, @kenkoiphish and @tommytomtom619! Every actor, you guys are the reason we do this! To give you a platform, and playground, to have fun on and shine as bright as you can!

My writers, composers and producers, you were literally the backbone to this collab, especially in Part 2. For the OG @Fro and myself headed basically every skit, but this year, so many people contributed skits. @Fersto, you mad man, provided an array of skits ranging in various genres. This allowed us to push our acting abilities as far as they could, thank you man! We also had skits written by Chitstain, @jennyglynn, @dannygoodshirt, @hazencruz, @thatjohnnyguy, @seanofartsandvoice, @bro-son, @squidwardtesticles and @zaazng!

A major thanks needs to be given to Zaaz. He stepped up BIG TIME in various ways! He composed numerous tracks, including the opera for 'A Time to Duel,' wrote a skit, voice acted in a few skits and came in clutch on the production side! His help allowed us to stay on track and knock some skits out in a timely manner! I want to thank Chitstain, Hazencruz and Johnny for helping with production as well! All the way to the wire, you guys worked relentlessly to complete the skits on time! I TRULY APPRECIATE YOUR HELP!!!

Again, I'm extremely blessed to work with this crew. What started out as a simple idea, has turned into a staple for the voice acting community of Newgrounds! You guys are the absolute best!

Another special thanks needs to be given to @doctorgrambo for hooking us up with the awesome graphic you see on the front page! Also, @TomFulp, your continued support in this community and collab means a great deal to us all! Thank you for providing a platform for us to grow on and believing in our talents!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Now, for future talk!
With the 2021 officially complete, we're going to take a few weeks off and get right into working on the 2022 collab! If you're a voice actor, writer, composer or sound engineer and want to be a part of the collab, please reach out to me! We'll be clearing house with some members who ended up going MIA, some right after they joined. So we're looking to stock up with members who want to be active and create! For a project like this, we need all hands on deck and at all times! Feel free to leave a comment below or reach out to me via DM!
Thank you again for taking the time to listen to Part 2 ans showing your support to our community!
Hello Newgrounds!
I hope by now you've taken the time to see the trailer of 'Astromon,' an original anime created by our fellow Newgrounds family member @Dannygoodshirt. You many know Danny from his yearly Dr. Good Halloween collaboration, or even "Fists of Fulp." The guy is extremely creative and loves helping fellow Newgrounds patrons achieve their goals. Well, it's only fitting that we return the favor and help him achieve his goal now! Danny has been creating, and building, the story behind Astromon for over two years now. With his pilot script complete, character backgrounds and stories sculpted out and the Indiegogo page ready to go, Danny is finally ready to launch this awesome anime. We're planning on having Danny jump on an upcoming episode of NGP to talk about the show further soon so don't miss out on that! For now, I'm dropping the link to the trailer below. Even if you've seen it already, check it out again and spread the word! If any of you find this anime intriguing, PLEASE support it by donating to our Indiegogo page (That link is below also). I've seen the pilot script, I know the characters (I even voice one of them!) and know what the series entails and I'm proud of what Danny has put together. It deserves to be created! Helping a family member out is what Newgrounds does best! Let's contribute to Danny's success everyone! Thanks for checking out Astromon and supporting the anime!
Hello you beautiful Newgrounds family members!
July has been an amazing month for me here on Newgrounds and I have to thank all of you for that.
First and foremost, THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR ALLOWONG ME TO REACH THE 1,000 FAN MILESTONE! When I started uploading content to Newgrounds back in 2014, I never thought anyone would even be interested in the voice acting content I put out there. When I started uploading frequently again in 2019, I thought the same thing. You guys sure as hell proved me wrong though. With over a hundred audio submissions, 58 animations, two games (with a third one on the way) and numerous episodes of the @TheNewgroundsPodcast under my belt, you guys have helped reach a goal I only dreamed about. I say it all the time, I could care less about numbers on other platforms. The numbers amassed on Newgrounds means everything because there's true support and love on here. Everyone truly wants you to succeed, grow and live out your dreams. You guys have seriously allowed me to live out mine and I'm forever grateful. I wouldn't be where I am without Newgrounds!!! You're the best community in this entire world, no lie. Here's to another 1,000 fans, growth and following dreams! I LOVE YOU NEWGROUNDS FAM!
Major shout outs to those who've supported me greatly and have encouraged me to be the best voice actor I can be: @nicksenny, @joshdytonvo, @xinxinix, @thatjohnnyguy, @plufmot, @will, @psychogoldfish, @zaazng, @fro, @stanpai, @dannygoodshirt, @cayfettart, @misterjames, @spadezer, @realmrsnuggles, @jacob and the rest of you who I'm struggling to remember! You always have positive things to say and encourage me to keep growing. A support system is needed in our respective fields, and I have a very strong one, THANK YOU FRIENDS!
Second, I've been very fortunate to voice in a bunch of animations recently and it's mainly because of @brandybuizel and his awesome Summer Jam. It's allowing animators to get creative and have fun all summer and give people a chance to collaborate! I voiced in three animations for Round 1 of the jam, and for Round 2, I believe I've been cast in about 5-6 entries which is AWESOME. A few of those animations are out and you should go watch them if you haven't!
House Cat Sez
Cartoon Network Collab
Salad Fingers the Macabre Boy Show
Breakfast with Blockhead!
Thank you to the AWESOME animators who gave me the chance to voice in their animations! It's been great doing my impressions of some of Newgrounds most iconic characters!
Finally, I have plenty more projects on the way and I can't wait for you to see/play them! I worked with @dungeonation on his remake of Pico vs Bear and it should be out soon! I got to voice Pico in it and I'm EXCITED for you to see how amazing of a game it is! @ProsciuttoMan brought me on for his Clock Day submission and I'm thrilled about voicing Strawberry Clock! It's a blast getting to work with an awesome dude! Me and the NGVAC crew are working hard on Part 2 of the collab and we have some fantastic skits lined up! We hope that we're able to entertain you just as much as we did with Part 1! Thank you guys again for your support for Part 1 of the collab!
NGVAC '21 Part 1
Newgrounds fam, you continuously encourage me to be the best voice actor I can be. You fuel my fire and push me to set my bar higher and higher. If I ever reach that goal of being in a studio animation/movie, best believe you'll be the first people I thank when they ask me. You guys are the absolute BEST! To the Godfather, @TomFulp, I can't thank you enough for this glorious website. You allow individuals to live out their dreams, and people like you deserve the greatest praise ever. Allowing people to grow and thrive deserves a lifetime of praise. Thank you good sir, thank you.
You guys haven't heard the last of my voice! I LOVE YOU NEWGROUNDS! NEWGROUNDS FOR LIFE!!!!!!!!
Hello Newgrounds family!
This past weekend has been absolutely crazy. If you haven't noticed by now, the Newgrounds Voice Acting Collaboration 2021, Part 1 is LIVE on this beautiful site! Check it out here, or click on the awesome banner that's showcased on the front page!
NGVAC '21, Part 1
Major props need to be given to @DoctorGrambo for creating this awesome banner being displayed on the front page. He took a simple concept and morphed it into something AWESOME! If you don't support him, there's something wrong with you XD Here's a link to the banner art he created for the collab!
NGVAC '21 Banner Art by DoctorGrambo
A huge thank you is in order for @TomFulp as well. It means so much that he's willing to show his support for this amazing community in this manner. The front page feature shows he cares about our careers and the hard work we put into this. Your support means everything Tom, and we love you for that!
I'm blown away by the success of the collab so far. We've already surpassed the amount of favorites, downloads, votes and overall score from the inaugural NGVAC and we're about to surpass it in total listens. It took six months for the original NGVAC to hit 13,000 listens. It's taken literal days for Part 1 to reach 12,000. I swear, this wonderful community has shown us so much love and support and the feedback has been heartwarming. There's been a lot of praise and strong words of encouragement and we love to see it! There's also so many people showing interest in wanting to be in Part 2!
We really hope you guys enjoy Part 1 of the '21 edition and you're now looking forward to Part 2! We have another 15 skits lined up and are ready to be produced! You can expect that to drop on the anniversary of the original collab, November 30th :D
This collab wouldn't have been released six months from the original release if it wasn't for my good buddies @NickSenny and @JoshDytonVO. I brought them on as managers for this year and they've been a tremendous help. Nick was basically the front runner, taking on a shit ton of responsibilities that I can't even name off because there was so many. We stayed on track and organized because of his awesome leadership. I'm very lucky to have him on board and as my friend :) Josh mainly ate crumpets and drank tea the entire time, but we love him for that XD Josh was actually a huge help on the production side this year and I'm glad he decided to take up the mantle for it. He produced and engineered a few skits and helped us organize things with the collab. I love these two lads a great deal and I'm happy to call them my friends :)
Please go check out the collab if you haven't yet! Thank you so much for showing the awesome voice acting community the love and support it deserves!!!
~
My final bit I wanted to talk about today is the latest milestone I've hit. I reached 800 fans on Newgrounds today and I'm flabbergasted by that. It's not because of the number either, but how quickly it happened. It's literally taken a week to hit 800 fans. A week ago from today, I made an announcement on Twitter saying thank you for helping me reach 700 fans. Now, I'm here saying thank you for helping me reach 800 fans.
To this day, I'm still shocked that so many people are interested in my voice acting career. I'm just a simple guy who does silly voices and all of you love that. It brings me so much joy and happiness and that keeps me going in my career. I love knowing that my career brings others joy too. I just hit 40k followers on TikTok the other day and I did a live stream with a fan of mine, and they went on to tell me I'm an idol of theirs and I bring them so much joy and happiness when they watch my live streams or videos. That made me so happy and emotional. Knowing I'm touching someone's life just through my voice acting is very special (Thank you Rando :D )
Newgrounds will always hold a special place in my heart. If you don't know this by now, you haven't heard me gush over this awesome site XD I wouldn't be where I am without Newgrounds and this amazing community. You guys are the fuel to my burning fire and you guys keep me going. Truly, from every inch of my heart, THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR LOVE AND SUPPORT! This is the best community out there, and I'm very lucky to be a part of it. All of the events this past weekend were early birthday presents for me as well. Can't believe I'm turning 31, fuck me XD
I LOVE YOU NEWGROUNDS FAMILY!!!
Hello Newgrounds!
I hope your Pico Day celebrations were a blast this year and you kept it going all weekend long! I spent the evening hanging out with some NG homies and we played some games online as well! Throughout the day though, as I checked out all of the AWESOME submissions, I was polishing up my special tribute to Newgrounds.
I initially came up with this idea months ago: an audio project where I impersonate some of my favorite Newgrounds characters. However, I never followed through on creating it, mainly due to just being so damn busy. So it looked like it was just going to be an idea left on the shelf.
Thankfully, when Tom made his initial Pico Day post, it sparked my interest to create this project. I thought to myself, "Let's make this happen, but let's also have it be a submission that celebrates Newgrounds." So instead of this project being a simple VoicesByCorey impersonation video, I took the time to choose characters and scenes that resonated with me. Scenes that led to memorable moments in my life.
Blockhead initially brought me to Newgrounds, Tankman made sure it retained my interest on the site. Metal Gear Awesome provided hilarious content and sparked an interest to voice act. Leo and Satan continued to provide comedy, but it did so through some rough patches in my life. Every clip that's included in this project means a great deal to me. This was my way of saying thank you to Newgrounds, Tom and to all of you. I wouldn't be where I am today without this website. I hope you hear the dedication I put into it and it brings a smile to your face as it did with mine as I recorded it. :)
This was my very first project ever for Pico Day. I knew releasing it as a Pico Day submission would be more satisfactory, and meaningful, than releasing it on a random day. In my eyes, it was, because I woke up on May 2 to find that it was front paged. I was so happy because it truly showed that my project resonated with the Newgrounds crew just as much as it resonated with me.
Please take the time to listen to my homage to Newgrounds if you haven't yet. If you have, thank you so much for your support! The love you guys show for my voice acting career means so much to me, truly. Let me know which impression you liked the most! :D
I LOVE YOU ALL AND I LOVE NEWGROUNDS! EVERYTHING, BY EVERYONE, FOREVER!
-Corey
